NEW - Feb 26th, 6PM - Nothing like going up on a Tuesday are we right? That's why Toronto Common and Eating Through TO will be offering a Cocktails and Tapas Crawl as a way to get your week going smoothly.
This experience is a high-end bar crawl and food tour where you will visit 3 premium establishments for their tapas. Two of which have been ranked among the top 25 restaurants in Canada. Start with classic Spanish, then move into Cantonese Fusion, and finally some Soul Food. Along side the shared plates (equivalent to a full meal) you will get to choose a craft cocktail reflecting the unique cuisine to sip and swill at each spot.
The walking tour will start at Bar Raval and continue from there with all the stops within walking distance.

Step into a member's only wine club to learn all about small-batch Ontario wines. Learn to taste like a professional sommelier, and what to look for to identify the main grapes grown in the region. Pair Canadian cheeses with your wine and see why some taste better than others depending on what you are drinking.
You'll taste icewine and other classic wines from Niagara as well as learn how to taste like a professional.

NEW - Feb 16th, 9:30AM - To help you embrace this winter weather Toronto Common and New World Wine Tours will be offering an Icewine Tour of Niagara with pick-up and drop-off from Toronto.
Step into a winter wonderland and sip icewine - one of our national treasures. Frozen grapes come off the vine and are crushed so that only the sweet nectar of the grape is collected to make wine, and there is no better time than during the winter after its release.
You'll taste icewine and other classic wines from Niagara as we visit 3 wineries in the region for tutored tastings with a sommelier-certified guide. A full sit-down lunch is included from a local restaurant.

May 13th, 2PM - Toronto Common is returning to the Royal Ontario Museum for a guided tour of the Gallery of Canada: First Peoples.
Created with the advice of Native advisors, this gallery explores the cultures and traditions of Canada’s First Peoples. Collections examine the history of engagement between indigenous peoples and Euro-Canadian settlers, early fears that indigenous peoples and cultures were vanishing, and indigenous cultural expressions as they have changed over time and continue to change today.

LAST CHANCE - Apr 8th, 2PM - Toronto Common is returning to the Royal Ontario Museum for a guided tour of the China Gallery.
Ranked amongst the top ten Chinese collections in the world outside of China, the China gallery represents almost 10,000 years of Chinese history. An amazing record of Chinese culture, told through objects of writing, pottery, sculpture, transportation, jewellery, porcelain, furniture and much more, unfolds in a thematic presentation covering prehistoric times up to the 20th century Qing Dynasty. Some artworks are so unique to the ROM, there are none other of their kind on display in the world, not even in China.

Ancient Egypt has had a profound impact on modern civilization, including culture, religion, technology, and architecture. The Egyptian collection at the ROM is comprised of approximately 25,000 artifacts spanning from 4,000 BC to 400 AD, with about 2,000 on display in the gallery. Our tour of the exhibit is a unique opportunity to engage with a ROM expert, ask questions and learn about this ancient culture.

The James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of the Dinosaurs covers the Jurassic (200 to 145 million years old) to the Cretaceous (145 to 65 million years old) periods. The specimens reflect life in the northern hemisphere, primarily in North America with mostly original skeletons from the fossil fields of Alberta, Canada. ROM tours are interactive experiences covering unique perspectives on select pieces and offers a chance to ask questions and engage with a ROM expert.

We're moving beyond food (but still with a little food) and heading to the Royal Ontario Museum for a guided tour of their new Viking Exhibit!
The new exhibit sheds some light, dispels some myths, and reveals some truths of this ancient culture with some of the latest archaeological finds.
